FESTIVALS
• Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd., will hold a Mardi Gras featuring a pancake and sausage supper and entertainment from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 11, and free for those 5 and under. For information or tickets, call (330) 792-2835.
FUNDRAISERS
• As a benefit for Relay for Life of the American Cancer Society, a Valentine dinner and oldies dance will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Legacy Banquet and Conference Center, 1946 Mercer Grove City Road, Mercer, Pa. The evening includes a buffet dinner with appetizer and dessert, entertainment by Moe’s Sounds of Butler, door prizes and a 50-50 raffle. The cost is $21 a person, and advance tickets are required. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
• Sts. Mary and Joseph School faculty and staff are sponsoring a Night at the Races on Saturday at St. Mary’s Social Hall, 120 Maple Drive, Newton Falls. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., a buffet begins at 6:30 p.m., and post time is 7 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to the school’s general account to help with utilities and general building maintenance.
