Brogdon steps up; Warren Harding tops Euclid

EUCLID — Sheldon Brogdon scored 26 points Saturday as the Warren Harding High basketball team captured its 13th win by defeating Euclid, 79-65.

Damian Eargle scored 17 points before fouling out for the Raiders (13-1). Desmar Jackson and Fred Williams each scored 11 points while Chris Henderson had 10.

Darrell Blanton scored 25 for Euclid (8-6).

Mineral Ridge 71, Badger 58

KINSMAN — T.J. Bevilacqua poured in 33 points to lead Mineral Ridge.

Nick Miele chipped in with 19 points and Justin Lasher 11 to bolster the Rams (6-8), who trailed 26-23 at the half before surging away to the win.

Marcus Heath scored 16 points to lead Badger (4-8), while Greg Hunkus and Brad Bates added 12 apiece.

Steubenville 80, Beaver Local 74

LISBON — The Beavers (10-9) fell behind 45-27 by halftime, but their 47-35 rally in the second half came up short.

Zach Zelinsky scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Beavers. Ethan Russell added 17 points and he had five assists and six steals. Scott Kreefer and Brett Hunt each had 11 points.
