CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY. — Petre Petkovski converted an offensive rebound into a game-winning lay-up with 11 seconds remaining for the Bison (11-7, 6-1 Presidents’ Athletic Conf.). Petkovski scored 10 points, Tyler Morando had 17 and Brody Jackson contributed 13 for Bethany which is in first place in the PAC standings. Johnny Bovard and Mark Tinkleberg each had 14 points for Thomas More (8-10, 4-3) which led 43-40 at the break.

Hiram 93,
Oberlin 66

HIRAM — Mike Staley had 20 points and Hassan Muhammed added 17 more to pace Hiram (7-10, 4-4 NCAC). Hiram used a 50-point second half to expand on its 43-32 lead at the break. Mike Loll hit for 15 points for Oberlin (3-14, 2-6).

Grove City 67,
Geneva 60

GROVE CITY, Pa. — Ryan Gibson scored 15 points as Grove City (12-6, 5-1 PAC) registered its first season sweep of Geneva since the 1988-89 campaign. For Geneva (10-8), Greg McDivitt had 15 points while Mike Ross and Zac Northern each had 14 points.

Muskingum 72,
Mount Union 60

MUSKINGUM — Andy Glass scored a career-high four 3-pointers for 12 points and Brandon Todd had 21 points for Muskingum (11-5, 6-4 OAC). Sam King and Chris Switzer evenly split 32 points for Mount Union (6-11, 3-7).

Walsh 87,
Rio Grande 64

Corey Jones scored 30 points to ignite the Cavaliers (16-3, 5-1 AMC).

Walsh also got 18 points from Josh Johnson. As a team, the Cavaliers made 27 of 30 free throws.

Brandon Ivery collected 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Redmen (7-13, 2-4).

Malone 66,
Houghton 61

HOUGHTON, N.Y. — Ben Carver led four double-digit scorers with 18 points while Tyler Renner was in with 12 points and 13 rebounds for Malone (15-5, 3-1 AMC). Devin Paige canned 16 points for Houghton (6-11, 0-4).

WOMEN

Grove City 54,
Geneva 45

GROVE CITY, Pa. — Christine Slater came off the bench to score 12 points and lead Grove City (7-10) to its fourth straight win. For Geneva (14-3), Allyson Clarke had 19 points.

Mount Union 71,

Muskingum 54

ALLIANCE — Haley Drayer, Tessa Pohovey and Alicia Williams scored 20, 13 and 11 points respectively for the Purple Raiders (7-10, 4-6 OAC).

Muskingum (8-8, 3-7) was led by Tiffany Youel with 23 points.

Thomas More 81,

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — The Bison made just 29 percent (21 of 73) of their shots against third-ranked Thomas More (17-0, 8-0 PAC).

Nicole Dickman scored 19 points to lead five double-figure scorers for Thomas More. Kelly Goode scored 12 points for the Bison (9-8, 5-3) who fell behind 45-28 after 20 minutes.

Saint Vincent 91,
Westminster 64

LATROBE, Pa. — Seven weeks ago the Titans defeated Saint Vincent 77-45. Senior guard/forward Emilee Ackerman led the Titans 11-6) with 26 points, nine rebounds and three steals. She now is in fourth place on the team’s career scoring list with 1,202 points. Junior guard Gina Brunetti (Mooney) scored 11 points and had six rebounds for the Titans.

Janelle Reed scored 31 points for Saint Vincent (5-12).

Houghton 64,
Malone 53

HOUGHTON, N.Y. — Ashley Dupler shot 10-for-15 and scored 23 points to pace the Houghton attack. Houghton (8-9, 1-4) jumped out to a 35-29 lead at the half. For Malone (5-13, 3-3), Kellyn Murphy scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds.
