OTHER MULTIPLES

Double homicides are not uncommon in Youngstown. In addition to the January 2007 quadruple homicide on the South Side, there have been five multiple homicides (more than two victims) in the city the past 17 years.

In 1991, Willie “Flip” Williams killed four men in an East Side home.

In 1993, a woman, three of her children and her boyfriend were all shot to death on the North Side. The shooter, father of the children, then killed himself.

In 1996, three men were killed during a robbery at the Newport Inn on Indianola Avenue on the South Side.

In 2004, two women and a man were found shot to death inside a New York Avenue house on the North Side.

In July 2007, after being shot in the neck, a woman and her unborn fetus died in 70 block of Center Street. Her 8-year-old son, shot in the head, died the next day.
