Donlow’s 26 points spur Poland past Niles, 99-75


NILES — Poland sophomore forward Ben Donlow scored 26 points Friday to lead a balanced attack as the visiting Bulldogs defeated Niles, 99-75, in a Metro Athletic Conference boys basketball game.

Sophomore guard Niko Fatimus added 15 points and senior Anthony DeFelice had 15 for Poland (14-0, 9-0). The Bulldogs jumped out to a 23-13 lead after the first quarter.

Dan Rosenberger scored 22 points, Larry Sussman had 19 and Ryan Frantz added 15 for the Red Dragons (6-9, 3-6).

Salem 71, Struthers 59

STRUTHERS — Jordan Strabala scored 19 points to lead the Quakers (8-7, 3-6 MAC).

Zack O’Brien and Austen Hutton each scored 11 points while Nick Anderson had 10.

For the Wildcats (5-10, 1-8), R.J. Ragan scored 19 points.

Campbell 44, East Liverpool 26

CAMPBELL — Jerah’me Williams and Marcus Boyd each scored eight points as Campbell prevailed in a cold-shooting MAC game in which both teams struggled to find the hoop.

Campbell (11-4) (6-3 MAC), which had nine players score, was 16-for-49 from the field while the Potters (4-11, 1-8 MAC) were 11-for-40.

Nathan Howard managed eight points for East Liverpool, which trailed 25-14 at the half.
