acquires Nissan franchise

HERMITAGE, Pa. — Montrose Auto Group has acquired the Nissan franchise from Shenango Honda-Nissan and will build a new dealership for the Nissan brand. Shenango is expanding its Honda inventory at its East State Street location.

Montrose is calling its new store Hermitage Nissan, which will be next to Montrose Buick-Pontiac-GMC-Cadillac at 1455 N. Hermitage Road. Montrose is renovating a bus garage located next to the existing dealership. Construction is expected to be completed in June.

Montrose is based in the Akron suburb of Fairlawn and has nine locations in the region. It acquired the former Stupka Buick-Pontiac-GMC in Hermitage a year ago.

Pawn Shop must pay fine
in licensing dispute

YOUNGSTOWN — The Pawn Shop, 3314 South Ave., must pay a $600 fine and complete 18 hours of continuing education or face potential problems with its license.

The Ohio Department of Commerce said it discovered the business had not completed the requirements during its 2004-2006 license period. The matter was discovered when the business filed to renew its license and was notified a new license may not be issued, the state said.
