ASSOCIATIONS

• American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 at the gathering room of Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. There will be a continental breakfast and business meeting. A program on “Underground Railroad Research — Sojourn to the Past,” will be presented by students of Penny Wells, a retired teacher from Youngstown Schools. • Flora McDonald Auxiliary will meet for dessert at 1 p.m. Feb. 2 at the home of Madeline Shanks. Alice Maxwell will be the co-hostess.

• Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1950 will meet at noon Feb. 6 at Bedford Trails in Lowellville.

CLUBS

• Ohio Cultural Alliance will meet at 6 p.m. Feb 4. The speaker will be Harry Meshel, who will share reflections of his public activities and how his Greek ethnicity affected his life. Cultural enrichment will be performed by a dance group from the church, and the meal will feature Greek cuisine. The cost for the evening is $13 for paid-up members and $18 for nonmembers. • Poland Women’s Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Vivian Young. Co-hostesses will be Lorraine Santoro and Sandra Smith. The program will be “Musical Melodies” by Brittany Myhal.

POLITICAL CLUBS

• Canfield Republican Women’s Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield, where lunch will be at noon. The speaker will be Hugh Earnhart, Youngstown State University professor emeritus, whose topic will be “Supreme Court Decision that Propelled Lincoln to the Presidency.” Tables will be decorated by Judy Sees and Tracey Winbush. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

• Mothers of the Crucifix Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church of Youngstown will meet at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 3 in the lower hall of the church. Elizabeth Mirone will preside, and plans will be discussed for a card party to be held March 30 and for an anniversary dinner April 27. Refreshments will be served.

• St. Rose Quilting Group meets at 10 a.m. every Wednesday in the parish house.

• D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. • Alzheimer’s Assistance and Referral Network, 4212 Market St., Youngstown, has scheduled a meeting for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Easter Seals, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman.

• Alzheimer’s Association Support Group for people with early stage memory loss will meet at 1 p.m. Monday. The meeting is free and open to all people and their families who are affected by a diagnosis of cognitive impairment such as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy Body disease, etc. There is a brief screening process involved before participating in the group.
