City resident indicted in car theft

Police arrested the robbery suspect after a car and foot chase.

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County grand jury has indicted a South Side man, who was arrested last month after a police pursuit of the stolen car he was driving.

Larry T. Burgess, 19, of Pinehurst Avenue, was indicted Thursday on two counts of aggravated robbery with firearm specifications and one count of receiving stolen property.

The charges are in connection with the armed robbery of a man and a woman in the 100 block of Lowell Avenue, which allegedly occurred Dec. 22 — the day he was arrested. The car was stolen in Kent, police said.

Burgess, who was also charged with a parole violation, was arrested in the 400 block of West Princeton Avenue after he exited the car and ran, police said.

Others indicted are:

UAlvin Toles, 33, of Miller Street, Warren, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and two counts of rape.

URalph M. Dunco, 29, of Colvington Road, McDonald, aggravated robbery.

URobert W. Hill, 40, of Volney Road, aggravated vehicular assault.

UJohnny Favors, 51, and Tasha McClendon, 30, both of East Lucius Avenue, child endangering.

UKevin J. King, 27, of Woodhurst Drive, Austintown, retaliation and domestic violence.

UWilliam J. Jefferson, 49, of of Columbus, breaking and entering.

UEmanuel C. Williams, 61, of West Boardman Street, cocaine possession.

UPeter J. Zarconi, 30, of North Brockway Avenue, intimidation of a victim.

UJohn Yagich, 45, of Creed Street, Struthers, carrying concealed weapons.

UDelano Conklin, 21, of Mahoning County jail or homeless, carrying concealed weapons.

U Forrest T. Adams Jr., 38, of Belden Avenue, marijuana trafficking.

URobert A. White Jr., 20, of West Wilson Street, Struthers, heroin possession.

The grand jury declined to indict Vincent Roberts on a burglary charge.
