Chevrolet Centre turns a profit, still has losses

For the third consecutive time, the Chevrolet Centre turned a profit in the first quarter of its fiscal year (October to December). Even with the profits in the two previous first quarters, the city-owned facility lost money for the full fiscal year. Below are the center’s first quarter profits, and the overall yearly losses for the first two years.

2005-2006

1st Quarter (October to December 2005): $545,471 profit.

Overall (October 2005 to September 2006): $23,653 loss.

2006-2007

1st Quarter (October to December 2006): $144,323 profit.

Overall (October 2006 to September 2007): $254,388 loss.

2007-2008

1st Quarter (October to December 2007): $151,203.
