$2.15M in bids accepted for new East Side library
YOUNGSTOWN — The board of Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County has accepted bids totaling $2.15 million for construction of the new East Side library branch.
Library officials hope to break ground on the new branch — to be built at the intersection of East High Avenue and Early Road — within weeks, said Janet Loew, library spokeswoman. Construction is expected to be complete this fall, she said.
At $1.3 million, Boardman-based Brock Builders Inc. submitted the lowest bid for general trade work, Loew said.
