Raid leads to discovery of drugs


YOUNGSTOWN — The raid of a Dorothy Avenue home Wednesday led to 10.5 grams of crack-cocaine and 15 packets of heroin.

Police discovered the narcotics in a toilet tank at the address at about 3:30 p.m. Field tests for heroin yielded positive results. A digital scale, small plastic bags and syringes were also seized.

Police arrested Alonzo R. Fornore, 30, of Orrin Avenue, on charges of trafficking in heroin, drug abuse crack-cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Another man, found in a car in the driveway, was arrested on misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charges. He was in possession of a crack pipe, according to police reports.

Both men were taken to the Mahoning County jail.
