Power outage means no Tributes in Tuesday’s Vindicator
YOUNGSTOWN — Paul Harkey, area manager for Ohio Edison, said a power failure at 8:28 a.m. today cut off service to 513 customers in the downtown area, including The Vindicator. As a result, there are no Tributes in today’s Vindicator. He said an equipment failure inside the Belmont Avenue substation caused the outage.
Half of the 513 customers had power restored by 11:55 a.m. and all customers had power by 12:30 p.m. Harkey said power was rerouted. The cause of the failure is being investigated.
