Toledo’s road woes continue against Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — David Kool and Joe Reitz each scored 16 points, leading Western Michigan to a 75-62 win over Toledo Saturday.
Kool hit four 3-pointers for the Broncos (9-8, 3-1 Mid-American), who defeated Toledo for the first time in two seasons and took over sole possession of first place in the MAC West.
The loss was the 11th straight on the road for Toledo, dating back to last year.
Tyrone Kent, the MAC’s leading scorer with an 18.3 average, led the Rockets (5-11, 2-2) with 18 points. Ridley Johnson added 16 points, and Jonathan Amos had his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Ball St. 64, E. Michigan 60
MUNCIE, Ind. — Malik Perry scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help lead Ball State past Eastern Michigan.
Perry made nine-of-11 field goals as the Cardinals rallied from a 31-30 halftime deficit for the Mid-American Conference win. Peyton Stovall added 12 points and Rob Giles scored 10 for Ball State (3-13, 2-2).

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich — Giordan Watson had a season-high 29 points as Central Michigan defeated Northern Illinois.
The Chippewas (7-9, 2-2 Mid-American Conference West) forced the Huskies (4-12, 1-3) into 23 turnovers, resulting in 22 points.
