BOARDMAN — Paul Dieter of PMD Builders was named 2008 president of the Home Builders/Remodelers Association of Mahoning Valley. He was installed recently at the annual meeting of the 62-year-old organization.
Other officers are: builder vice president, David Rouan; associate vice president, Brett Richey; and secretary/treasurer Rob Reilly. Named to the board were Karen Ament, Sandy Baun, Sam Boak, Tim Bodnar, Randy Caldwell, Chris Marburger, Rick Mastriana, Tom Orolin, David Smith, Rob Struharik and Danny White.
The following awards were presented: outstanding community service award: John Gouvas of Nouveau Interiors; new member award, Danny White of Cortland Banks; exterior designer of the year award, Ken Fusco of Fusco’s Cutting Edge; supplier of the year award, Tom Orolin of Carter Lumber; remodeler of the year award, Albert Alexander of A.R.A. Inc. Bath & Kitchen Remodeling; associated of the year award, Debbie Blaylock of WYTV/MyYTV; recruiter of the year award, Rob Reilly of Reilly Construction Management; builder of the year award, David Rouan of Land Development Co.; and HBA member of the year award, Andy Profanchik of APCO Construction.

LIBERTY — Charley’s Grilled Subs has opened at 3219 Belmont Ave. The business is owned by Chris Smallwood. Patrick Ungaro, township administrator, said the new business helps revitalize the area because it is in a building that had been vacant for several years.
F.N.B. shareholders
will meet on May 14
HERMITAGE, Pa. — The board of directors of F.N.B. Corp. will hold the annual meeting of shareholders May 14. The record date for voting at the meeting will be March 5. Shareholders will act on the election of directors, ratification of the appointment of the independent registered public accounting firm and any other matters that properly come before the board. F.N.B. is the parent company of First National Bank of Pennsylvania.

SHARON, Pa. — Applications are being accepted through Jan. 31 for the 2008 Leadership Shenango Program. The 14-year-old program encourages the regeneration of existing community leaders. Participants are exposed to series of topics and situations over a 12-week period that allows them to gain knowledge in areas related to networking, team building, economic development, municipal government, education and more. Flat Prints can print a wide variety of products, including photocopies, brochures, business cards, padded business forms and yard signs. YOUNGSTOWN — Jim Milligan of Hancor Inc. was named chairman of the Youngstown chapter of the Ohio Contractors Association. Hancor, which sells various pipe products, is based in Columbus but has an office in Youngstown.
