OU has virtual SAT review

ATHENS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio University hosted mermaids, spacemen, goldfish and even a few inanimate objects Saturday, all anxious about the SATs.

The school teamed up with the Princeton Review to offer the first free SAT review session in the virtual dimension of Second Life — an online world that resembles the real world.

Students attended the sessions through their online identities — or avatars — which exist in whatever form the teens can invent. The avatars could run, swim, fly or drive to Ohio University’s virtual campus, where virtual teachers went over sample SAT questions and discussed admissions process.
