X BOARDMAN — Deena Gail Bartholomew and Douglas Lee Griffith were married at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at St. Charles Church. Deacon Michael Kocjancic and the Rev. Philip Rogers officiated, and a reception followed at St. Lucy Banquet Center in Campbell.

Parents of the couple are Joseph and Gail Bartholomew of Boardman and Garold and Janet Griffith of Chillicothe.

Swarovski crystals adorned the bride’s strapless A-line gown of white and silver taffeta and lace.

Wearing grape-colored gowns were Marissa Bartholomew, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Rebecca Sirek, Denee Reed, Julie Grant and Danielle Griffith. Flower girl was Ashley Griffith.

Gregory Griffith was best man, and groomsmen were David Bartleson, Michael Ginn, Brett Bartholomew and Philip Purpero. Ring bearer was Scott Griffith.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in international business/economics and German at Mount Union College and a master’s in business administration at Ohio Dominican University. The groom graduated from Otterbein College with a bachelor’s in business administration and from Franklin University with a master’s in business administration. The couple are employed by the U.S. Department of Defense in Columbus, where she is a supervisory contract specialist and he is a senior procurement analyst.

After a honeymoon on the Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Maui, they live in Westerville.
