WRTA PROPOSED SALES TAX

Public meetings

The Western Reserve Transit Authority is seeking a 0.25 percent sales tax on the March 4 primary ballot. The agency has scheduled several public meetings to discuss the need for public transportation services in Mahoning County. All meetings will start at 7 p.m. except the Feb. 4 meeting. The schedule is:

Tuesday: Canfield City Hall, 21 S. Broad St.

Wednesday: Austintown Township Hall, 82 Ohltown Road.

Thursday: Struthers City Hall, council chambers, 6 Elm St.

Jan. 28: Lowellville Village Hall, second floor, 104 E. Liberty St.,

Jan. 29: Campbell City Hall, courtroom, 351 Tenney Ave.

Jan. 30: Milton Township Hall, 15992 Milton Ave.

Jan. 31: Sebring City Hall, council chambers, 135 E. Ohio Ave.

Feb. 4: Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, conference room, 100 E. Federal St., Youngstown.

Feb. 6: Beaver Township Administration Office, 601 W. South Range Road, North Lima.

Feb. 7: Western Reserve High School, 13850 W. Akron-Canfield Road, Berlin Center.

Feb. 11: Boardman Township Government Center, Marie DeBartolo Meeting Room, 8299 Market St., Boardman.

Feb. 12: New Middletown Village Hall, council room, 10711 Main St., New Middletown.

Feb. 13: Eastgate Regional Council of Governments, conference room, 100 E. Federal St., Youngstown.

Feb. 14: Poland Village Hall, 308 S. Main St., Poland.
