Educators workshop planned


CANFIELD — The 11th annual Environmental Education Resource Fair Workshop “Webs and Connections” will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 26 at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, state Route 46, across from Canfield Fairgrounds.

The event is sponsored by the Environmental Education Council of Ohio and is available for educators through 12th grade.

Large group sessions include Peg Flynn and Kim Lewis from the Green Team (environmental bingo), and Jamey Graham from Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife (bald eagle display and update).

Concurrent environmental education sessions and displays currently involve these local and state resource agencies — EECO-Environmental Education Council of Ohio Region 12, Little Beaver Creek Wildlife Center, Mahoning River Education Project, Mahoning, Trumbull and Portage Soil and Water, Mill Creek MetroParks, and Mahoning County Farm Bureau.

Registration is $10 and covers lunch, refreshments and workshop materials.
