Mount Union 81, Marietta 65

MARIETTA — Chris Switzer scored 26 points to lead Mount Union to its second straight win. Mike Fatigante added 12 points for the Purple Raiders (5-10, 2-6 Ohio Athletic Conference), while Dave Pellerite and Sam King (Brookfield) scored 10 apiece. Marietta (4-10, 0-7) was led by Isaiah Creasap with 18 points.

Thomas More 85, Geneva 75

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — Ryan Burns scored 17 points to lead Geneva, while Greg McDivitt added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Justin Nardi added 14 points for the Golden Tornadoes (8-6), who trailed 41-34 at halftime. Mark Tinklenberg scored 14 points to lead Thomas More (7-7).

Grove City 73, Waynesburg 71

WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Shawn Carr had 23 points and Grove City (10-5, 4-1) battled back from a 38-31 halftime deficit in a Presidents’ Athletic Conference game. Ryan Gibson added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Wolverines. Tim Drakeley had 25 points for Waynesburg (6-8, 1-4).

Wooster 117, Hiram 87

HIRAM — Mike Staley and Mike McDevitt combined for 51 points but Hiram (4-10, 1-4) couldn’t sustain as much scoring power as Wooster (12-2, 4-0) in a North Coast Athletic Conference game. Staley had 27 points and McDevitt (Lisbon) added 24. James Cooper led Wittenberg with 22 points.

Bethany 81, Franciscan 72

STEUBENVILLE — Tyler Morando scored 27 points, and Jonas Ankrom added 14, both setting career highs, to lead Bethany (8-7). Connor Flanagan scored 19 points for Franciscan (1-13).

Edinboro 83, Slippery Rock 68

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Jade Burka had 12 points and seven rebounds for The Rock (2-13, 0-1) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West game. Darnell Johnson added nine points and seven assists. Edinboro (11-4, 1-0) got 22 points from Joseph Jones.

WOMEN

Mount Union 72, Marietta 59

ALLIANCE — Alicia Williams scored 20 points to lead Mount Union (6-9, 3-5) to a win in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Tessa Pohovey added 12 points for the Purple Raiders, while Ashley Ross had eight points and 10 rebounds. Natalie Jackson led Marietta (3-11, 0-8) with 14 points.

Thomas More 56, Geneva 34

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. — The Golden Tornadoes (12-2) were limited to 23 percent shooting (12-of-53), including 1-for-12 on 3-pointers. Allyson Clarke led Geneva with 13 points, while Michawn Rich had eight points and 11 rebounds. Alex Gee scored 11 points to lead Thomas More (14-0).

Grove City 62, Waynesburg 52

WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Christine Slater scored 20 points, and Krista Beechy had 17 points and 14 rebounds as Grove City won its first PAC game. C.J. Beatty added 11 points for the Wolverines (4-10, 1-5). Amanda Mitchell led Waynesburg (1-13, 0-5) with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Bethany 67, Chatham 60

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Kelly Goode had 23 points to lead Bethany (8-6). Caelyn DiSanti added 10 points for the Bison. Kayla Hiko led Chatham (4-8) with 10 points.

Edinboro 82, Slippery Rock 59

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Haley Gaidosh led The Rock (6-10, 0-1 PSAC West) with 16 points and seven rebounds. Julie Molloy added 15 points and Nijha McNeely scored 10. Janine McDonald scored 20 points for Edinboro (10-4, 1-0), which outscored Slippery Rock 47-26 in the second half.
