Man found dead in Austintown fire

AUSTINTOWN — A man was found dead inside a house at 142 N. Niles-Canfield Road after firefighters put out a fire that started at 7:47 p.m. Tuesday, said assistant Fire Chief Andrew Frost III. He said the man’s identity would be released by the Mahoning County coroner’s office. The house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. The damage was set at $50,000, a total loss, Frost said. An investigator with the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office was expected to be on the scene today.
