Jan. 11
Theft: A 21-year-old Boardman man faced a charge after seven T-shirts and undergarments were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: A West Boulevard woman told police she never received payment for having sold online a $224 cell phone.
Truck theft: A Poland man reported the theft of his 1993 Chevrolet truck while in the 7400 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A Columbus boy, 17, faced one count of theft. He was accused of stealing from Wal-Mart an $80 computer storage device.
Truck theft: A 1995 Ford F-150 vehicle was stolen from Rick Bayus Motors, 5206 Youngstown-Poland Road.
Burglary: A man in the 800 block of Cook Avenue saw that someone had removed a screen to a kitchen window and entered his residence while he was asleep.
Theft: Officers arrested an 18-year-old Poland man on a theft charge after saying he admitted helping a friend steal 15 video games from Wal-Mart.
Arrests: Authorities stopped a car on Market Street for missing its front license plate. There, they arrested two Youngstown men, 44 and 48, upon learning both were wanted on charges of probation violation.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near Interstate 680 and U.S. Route 224, authorities took into custody a Youngstown man, 40, wanted on a felony warrant from Franklin County, Ohio, charging him with probation violation.

Drugs: A traffic stop on Euclid Boulevard resulted in the arrest of a Boardman woman, 47, on a felony charge of possession of drugs. She admitted a prescription bottle contained suspected crack cocaine, police said.
Identity theft: A Struthers man, 23, faced felony charges of identity theft and tampering with evidence after a worker for Alltel in the Southern Park Mall alleged the man tried to use someone else’s identity to buy two phones. He also tried to destroy one of the phones, officers said.
Theft: A customer ate and failed to pay for a block of cheese before leaving Rulli Bros., 5780 South Ave.
Recovered property: Police found a stolen and abandoned 1988 Oldsmobile Delta 88 in the 6300 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A 15-year-old Cape Coral, Fla., girl and a Youngstown girl, 16, were charged with theft and being unruly juveniles after $53 worth of clothing was taken from Wal-Mart.
Criminal mischief: A South Schenley Avenue man called police after finding five windows to his home had been coated with glue. Damage was estimated at $100.
Arrest: Officers responded to a Lockwood Boulevard residence after getting a call about a gunshot and arrested a Poland man, no age given. He was wanted on a probation-violation charge.
Arrest: After responding to a report of someone using false documents to obtain a state identification card from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 229 Boardman-Canfield Road, authorities charged a Boardman man, 30, with forgery, falsification, identity fraud and obstructing official business.
Aggravated menacing: A 21-year-old Sheridan Road man faced three counts of aggravated menacing after three women in a vehicle near his home alleged the man pointed a gun at them through a window to their car.

Burglary: A Columbus woman staying at a South Avenue motel discovered her room had been entered. Missing was $20.
Breaking and entering: Police found a set of bolt cutters after someone apparently used them to cut a lock to a security gate and enter Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd.
Domestic violence: A 17-year-old Beechwood Drive boy was charged after his father alleged the teen punched him in the head 12 times during an argument about the boy’s violating certain home rules. The father was injured.
Burglary: A man discovered a break-in at his South Avenue apartment. Stolen were an MP3 player, a laptop computer, a DVD player and a TV, for a loss of $2,600.
Arrest: After receiving a complaint from the mother of a 17-year-old Youngstown girl, police arrested a 20-year-old Warren man at a Tiffany Boulevard motel and charged him with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
