Gas pipe problem affects at least 200 people

HERMITAGE, Pa. — Two hundred to 250 National Fuel customers were without natural gas Monday evening because of a defective valve on a pipe, Mercer County 911 reported.

The residents affected live on Dutch Lane and Highland Road. The outage happened shortly after 7 p.m. but gas was expected to be restored by 11 p.m., the center said.
