Carnegie-Mellon 71, Bethany 68

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Junior guard Kaitlyn McCormick scored 15 points, but the Bethany College women’s basketball team couldn’t quite recover from a 12-point deficit.

The defeat snapped BC’s three-game winning streak and puts their record at 7-6 overall. The Tartans improved to 7-5 on the year. Carnegie Mellon received huge efforts from Rachelle Roll (17 points, 17 rebounds) and Leah Feola (17 points, 14 rebounds).

The Bison return to Presidents’ Athletic Conference action Wednesday with a trip to Chatham (Pa.) University for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
