Inmate found dead in Trumbull County jail
WARREN – Authorities are investigating the weekend death of a 24-year-old Vienna man in the Trumbull County Jail where he was being held on a domestic violence charge.
Adam N. Border of Warren-Sharon Road was found dead Sunday morning. An autopsy is being performed today.
Border was arrested Saturday by Bazetta Township police at the BP station at state Routes 82 and 5 after he allegedly beat a 23-year-old woman.
Ernie Cook, sheriff’s chief deputy, said today that Border was discovered dead at 5:37 a.m. Sunday after he couldn’t be aroused. He had been sleeping on a cot in the day room of the second-floor pod.
Cook said there was no trauma on the body. Border was alive at 4:59 a.m. during a bed check.
