Cartwrights’ 50th anniversary is celebrated at Mass, dinner

X YOUNGSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Cartwright, 2301 Bellfield Ave., observed the 50th anniversary of their wedding by attending a Mass on Nov. 24 at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, where they are members.

Afterward they were honored during a dinner party at Johnny’s in Boardman.

Hosts for the festivities were their family, Mark and Karen Cartwright of Columbus, Mary and Bill Belyusar of Poland, Tom and Karen Cartwright of Boardman, and Chris and Alice Cartwright of Poland. There are eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild in the family.

The former Jaynee Holt and Mr. Cartwright were united in marriage Nov. 23, 1957, at St. Nicholas Church.

Mrs. Cartwright is a homemaker and teaches CCD classes at the church.

Mr. Cartwright was employed at Donnell Ford in Boardman prior to retiring in October 2005.
