Canfield hockey loses 6-3

MENTOR — The Notre Dame Cathedral Latin hockey team scored five straight goals Saturday then hung on to beat Canfield, 6-3, in Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League action.

Riley Emery scored two goals for the Cardinals in an 11-second span, both assisted by Ryan Meditz.

Greg Firestone notched the other goal for Canfield.

The Cards outshot NDCL 27-25.

Canfield falls to 4-11-1 on the season and 0-8 in GCHSHL Blue South play.
