Bishops honored at wedding on 65th anniversary


X AUSTINTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bishop, 6666 Abbott St., who are celebrating 65 years of marriage, were honored by friends and relatives when they attended the Dec. 15 wedding of a grandson.

The former Doris Fee and Mr. Bishop were united in marriage on Jan. 11, 1943, in Seattle, Wash.

Their family includes Joyce and Warren Bayless of Holmdel, N.J.; Sue and Robert Blake of Clearwater, Fla.; Gay and John Blackann of Austintown; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bishop, a homemaker, is a 50-year member of Miriam Chapter 278, Order of Eastern Star.

Mr. Bishop is employed at McDonald Steel. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict, and is a member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Wick Lodge 41, VFW and the USS Tennessee Reunion Association.

The couple are members of First United Methodist Church of West Austintown.
