AARP chapter elects officers for the year

BOARDMAN — Officers who will head Boardman South Chapter 4545, AARP, through 2008 were elected at a meeting Jan. 3 at the Holiday Inn.

Elmer Haidle was named president, Betty Bisker, vice president; Margaret Ellashek, secretary; and Helen Southerland, treasurer.

The following members will be in charge of committees: Laura and Mike Pavlik, community service; Carl Pedaline, membership; Madelyn Pedaline, public relations; Peg Montgomery, sunshine; Helen Day and Frances Ritz, social; Stella Shepas and Joe DeFiore, raffle; and Lois Schmidt, chaplain.

Chapter 4545 meets at 11:30 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Holiday Inn.
