Salvation Army summit to promote college education
YOUNGSTOWN — Students and parents are invited to attend the Salvation Army College Summit to learn about the importance and benefit of getting a college education.
The second annual College Summit, called “Let’s Shape the Future Today,” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Salvation Army, 1501 Glenwood Ave.
It is presented by the Salvation Army, Youngstown State University’s Undergraduate Admissions Office, Educators and Community Helping Hispanics Onward (ECHHO) Inc. and One Hundred Black Men.
Parents, teachers and guardians are invited to attend this empowerment and informational session that will assist them in educating high school students on the importance and benefits of receiving a college education.
