X YOUNGSTOWN — Heavenly Place Church of God in Christ was the setting at 2 p.m. Nov. 17 for the wedding of Dava A. Cotton, 498 Madera Ave., and Anthony C. Pugh, 812 E. Dewey Ave.
The Rev. William Burney Jr. officiated, and a reception followed at St. Michael Social Hall in Campbell. After a honeymoon at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple live in Youngstown.
Parents of the bride are Johnny and Janice West of Youngstown, and the groom is a son of Willie Mae Pugh of Youngstown.
The bride wore a jeweled off-white gown with a silk jacket.
Burgundy gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Joanie Oates and Darolyn McClendon, and the bridesmaids, Monifa Anderson, Trala Allen, Stephanie Pugh and Girseal Pugh. Junior bridesmaids, Jareé, Laneé, and Korreé Cotton, wore gold gowns. Flower girl was Ayris Jones.
Keith Spann and Albert Pugh Jr. were best men, and groomsmen were Corey Pugh, Daniel Allen, Marvin Oates and Damon Fitzgerald. Junior groomsmen were Darius and Jalon Allen and Demetrius Pugh. Ring bearer was Arteis Brown, and ushers were Raymond Allen Jr. and Albert Pugh III. Also participating were Jeniene Ford, Stephanie Jones and Janeece Mclendon.
The bride, who graduated from Stark State College with a degree in occupational therapy, is an occupational therapist assistant at St. Elizabeth Health Center, where the groom is in environmental services.
