2008 Priorities

Marc Dann expects to accomplish a lot in this year, his second as attorney general. Here are his top priorities:

Taking a more active role in the future of nonprofit health care facilities.

Stepping up efforts to target predatory lenders and providing assistance to those victimized by such companies.

“Cracking down” on nonperforming charter schools.

“To hold cheating businesses accountable.” Dann said his office aggressively targets businesses that violate consumer protection, environmental and antitrust laws.

Increase the use of science and technology to assist law enforcement agencies to solve crimes and cold cases and make it easier to have the tools needed to properly combat criminal activity.
