COLUMBUS — Jantel Lavender scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Ohio State over Indiana. Tamarah Riley scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half to help Ohio State (12-3, 3-1 Big Ten) pull away. Marscilla Packer finished with 17 points. Jamie Braun led all scorers with 25 points for Indiana (9-7, 2-2).
No. 2 Tennessee 85, No. 22 Auburn 52
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Nicky Anosike scored a career-high 20 points and Tennessee physically dominated Auburn. Anosike and Candace Parker dominated the paint and the boards, both achieving double-doubles as Parker scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Anosike pulled in 12 for the Lady Vols (13-1). The Southeastern Conference’s second-leading scorer, DeWanna Bonner, finished with 19 points for Auburn (12-4).
No. 3 North Carolina 79, Virginia Tech 59
BLACKSBURG, Va. — Erlana Larkins scored 22 points and Rashanda McCants had 20 to help North Carolina defeat Virginia Tech. LaToya Pringle added 12 points for the Tar Heels (15-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference). Larkins and Pringle also had 10 rebounds apiece, and McCants had eight rebounds and seven assists. Amber Hall and Brittany Cook led the Hokies (12-5, 0-3) with 13 points each.

BOSTON — Crystal Langhorne had 18 points and 18 rebounds to break Len Elmore’s school rebounding record and Maryland cruised to its ninth consecutive victory. Kristi Toliver scored a season-high 26 points with seven assists for the Terrapins (19-1, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who were playing their second road game without coach Brenda Frese. Assistant Daron Park took over for Frese, who is resting at home because she is expecting twins in March and her doctors told her not to travel. Carolyn Swords, set career highs with 28 points and 13 rebounds for Boston College (13-4, 2-1).

ATHENS, Ga. — Megan Darrah led five Georgia players in double figures with 19 points and the Lady Bulldogs defeated Mississippi in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. Angel Robinson scored 16 points and nine rebounds for Georgia.
No. 11 LSU 76, No. 20 Arkansas 54
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Sylvia Fowles scored 18 points to lead LSU over Arkansas in the Southeastern Conference opener for both teams. Quianna Chaney and Allison Hightower each scored 15 for LSU. Erica White had 12 assists for LSU, matching Arkansas’ team total.
