Eight Trumbull County people indicted on drug charges
WARREN — Eight people secretly indictment by a Trumbull County grand jury were arraigned today before Judge John M. Stuard of common pleas court.
Police said they were arrested Thursday during a roundup. Five more are being sought.
Police said they made undercover buys of OxyContin pills and suspected marijuana from each of them. About 15 suspected marijuana plants were found in the West Park Avenue home in Niles of Michelle McCauley.
She was issued an animal control citation because of the number of dogs in here home. Her three children were removed from the residence by Trumbull County Children Services.
This is the second time in about a year that McCauley’s children have been taken away from her because of alleged drug activity, police noted.
The alleged drug dealers, police explained, are not part of a larger ring but were acting individually.
Making the arrests besides Niles police were members of the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
