Trumbull County Democratic Party

The Trumbull County Democratic Party will make endorsements Monday in four contested races in the March 4 primary:

Sheriff Thomas Altiere of Howland is facing Weathersfield Police Chief Joseph Consiglio of Weathersfield for sheriff.

Randy Smith of Hartford and David DeChristofaro of Niles are running for county engineer. Engineer John Latell is not seeking re-election.

Dr. Humphrey D. Germaniuk of Warren and Dr. Gary Kraker of Howland are running for county coroner. Dr. Ted Soboslay is not running for re-election.

Incumbent Sandra Stabile Harwood of Niles is facing challenges from Michael Harshman of Hubbard and John Williams of Liberty in the 65th District state house race. The district covers Niles, Newton Falls, Girard, Hubbard, Lordstown, McDonald and Orangeville, and the townships of Brookfield, Hartford, Hubbard, Liberty, Vienna, Newton and Weathersfield and parts of Bazetta and Fowler.
