Sen. Capri Cafaro gets leadership post

COLUMBUS — Sen. Capri Cafaro is starting her second year at the Ohio Statehouse as one of four Democratic leaders, following a caucus vote to replace Teresa Fedor of Toledo and Tom Roberts of Trotwood.

Cafaro confirmed late Wednesday her selection as assistant minority whip.

Former leader Fedor will be replaced by Sen. Ray Miller from Columbus.

Assistant leader Roberts will be replaced by Sen. Shirley Smith, from Cleveland.

Sen. Lance Mason, also from Cleveland and former assistant minority whip, will become minority whip.

Cafaro will be No. 4 in the leadership ranks.
