Breaking the connection

Target group: Juveniles who have problems with alcohol abuse and/or violence.

Age of participants: 12 to 17.

Agency teaching the class: Community Solutions, High Street, Warren.

Training schedule: 12 weeks, weekly two-hour sessions. Three 12-week classes per year.

Grant and local-share cost: $13,856.

Results: Of the 29 youths in the class during the first half of 2007, five re-offended.
