YOUNGSTOWN — The installation of officers will be held by Immaculate Heart Garden Club during a 10 a.m. meeting that has been scheduled for Thursday at the rectory meeting room.

Inducted will be Charlene Flesch, president; Mary Lozier, vice president; Flo Arndt, secretary; and Anna Mae Hlebek, treasurer.

After the ceremony, games will be played and lunch will be served by the officers.

Bridal extravaganza
tickets on sale

NILES — Tickets are now available for the Bridal Extravaganza that will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Eastwood Expo Center.

Tickets are $6 when purchased in advance at the Eastwood Mall customer service desk or at Casal’s de Spa and Salon in Howland or Canfield. They will be $8 at the door.

Featured will be a fashion show at 12:30 p.m. each day featuring the latest bridal fashions, makeup and hair trends, tuxedo styles and dancers.

Hosts will be AC and Kelly of Hot 101, and there will be live bands. More than 100 vendors will be on hand, and there will be a coffee and pastry bar.

Appetizers and adult beverages will be half price at the Grooms Room for attendees.

Program, breakfast
to mark King birthday

AUSTINTOWN — The Life Enrichment Department of ClareBridge Alterra Memory Care Residence Community is inviting the public to a free program and breakfast brunch to be held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The event is scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 21 at 1420 S. Canfield Niles Road.

The guest speaker will be Minister Derrick Scott of Alpha and Omega Ministry in Niles, and Carolyn Scott will present songs from her latest CD.

Cattlemen’s association

plans dinner and dance

LEETONIA — The Columbiana-Mahoning-Trumbull Cattlemen’s Association will hold a Cabin Fever Steak Fry, prepared by the Sons of American Legion, on Jan. 26 at the lower level of the American Legion Post 131 in Leetonia.

Dinners will be served from 7 to 9 p.m., and afterward there will be a cash bar and dancing until midnight to music provided by a DJ.

Poland Rotary plans
charity auction

BOARDMAN — The Georgetown Banquet Center has been chosen as the setting for the 22nd annual Poland Rotary Charity Auction, where Kelly Pavlik will be a special guest.

Brian Commons, Rotary president, and Mary Ann Martinko, auction chairperson, announced the event will take place Jan. 25 with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the evening must be purchased in advance for a donation of $50, which entitles the donor to appetizers, dinner and refreshments, beginning at 6:30. The auction will get under way at 7:30.

Caring Hearts gala
set by Care Net

CANFIELD — Canfield Community Care Net, which has been caring for Canfield families in need since 2002, has scheduled a Caring Heart gala for Jan. 25 at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens, Mill Creek Park.

Featured at the event will be cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by a catered dinner at 7. The Red Line Band will provide music, and a silent auction will round out the evening.
