Body found near Berlin Center identified

BERLIN CENTER — The body found around 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 17000 block of Mill Road has been identified as 55-year-old Virginia Kicula, according to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department.

Kicula of Bedell Road had been reported missing Oct. 24, 2007, by her husband, said Sheriff Randall A. Wellington. He said it appears Kicula had been sitting on cement blocks and fell down a hill when she stood up.

The body had been covered with leaves, which blew away in Tuesday’s high winds, he said. Foul play is not suspected, the sheriff said, adding more will be known after an autopsy.
