A summary of criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown Township:

CANFIELD

Dec. 31:

Forged prescription: A prescription for OxyCodone was forged at an Austintown pharmacy and police suspect another was forged at a Canfield pharmacy.

Jan. 30

Fraudulent withdrawal: A 19-year-old Stoneybrook Lane man reported to police that $458.33 had been withdrawn from his bank account in a transaction possibly originating from Mexico. His bank will make restitution to him.

AUSTINTOWN

Dec. 31

Theft: Plastic covers from bins were stolen at Trustees Park, 1055 S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: Yard damage was reported at a home in the 400 block of Selkirk Avenue.

Jan. 1

Theft: A woman reported her daughter stole her jewelry at a home in the 3000 block of Staatz Drive.

Criminal damaging: Two vehicles’ taillights were damaged at a home in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Vandalism: A driver’s-door window was shattered but nothing was taken at apartments in the 1500 block of Fountain Square.

Theft: The title to a vehicle and miscellaneous papers were stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Burglary: Holes were punched in the wall and burn holes made in the carpet during a burglary at an apartment in the 1000 block of Pembrook Road.

Burglary: A computer and Xbox games were taken at an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: A spare tire was stolen from a vehicle in two separate incidents at Fyda Freightliner, 5260 Seventy-Six Drive.

Burglary: At a home in the 1000 block of Moorefield Avenue.

Jan. 2

Theft: Money was withdrawn from a victim’s account at First Place Bank, 4390 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: The driver’s-side window of a vehicle was broken out and a fire extinguisher and first-aid kit stolen in the rear lot at Webb Supply, 3705 Oakwood Ave.

Burglary: Damage was done to the inside of the residence in a burglary at a home in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.

Jan. 3

Criminal damaging: At Austintown Fitness Center, 4562 Falcon Drive.

Burglary: A door had been left unlocked at an apartment in a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Theft: A floor scrubber was rented and not returned at Rhiel Supply, 3735 Mahoning Ave.

Misuse of credit card: A woman is a suspect in the misuse of a credit card at Midas, 4540 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: A credit card was opened in the victim’s name in Michigan.

Recovered property: A credit card was found at Get Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave.

Jan. 4

Drug offense: An Austintown woman was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 4000 block of Pembrook Apartments.

Theft: Various toys and vehicle parts from a yard were stolen by an unknown juvenile at a home in the 400 block of South Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: A Seven Seventeen debit card was stolen at Get-Go.

Theft: Two males were arrested for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Jan. 5

Theft: $308.57 (92.386 gallons) of diesel fuel was stolen at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: An iPod and case were stolen at Austintown Fitness Center, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Theft: Wood shelving and oak molding were stolen at Home Depot, 6100 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $39.84 in fuel was stolen from Certified Oil, 825 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Jan. 6

Criminal mischief: The north restrooms were spray-painted at Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.

Theft: A suspect was let into the residence in the 100 block of Westminster Avenue and stole the victim’s purse.

Theft: Two pistols from a home in the 3000 block of Timber Lane.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard.
