Kent State rallies past Buffalo for 11th win

KENT — Haminn Quaintance scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Kent State came from behind in the second half to beat Buffalo 68-63 Sunday.
Al Fisher scored 13 points, Scott finished with 11 and McKee added 10 for the Golden Flashes (11-3, 1-0).
Buffalo’s (6-7, 0-1 Mid-American Conference) Andy Robinson led all scorers with 25 points. Rodney Pierce had 12 points and Calvin Betts added 10 for the Bulls.
Toledo 58, Ball St. 54
TOLEDO — Jerrah Young scored 15 points and Tyrone Kent had 12 — including several key baskets in the closing minutes — to lead Toledo past Ball State.
Anthony Newell scored 20 points and Peyton Stovall had 18 for the Cardinals (1-12, 0-1 MAC).
Young had 10 rebounds and four steals and Ridley Johnson added 11 points for Toledo.
Xavier 80, Auburn 57
AUBURN, Ala. — B. J. Raymond scored 18 points, hitting a career-high six 3-pointers, and Drew Lavender added 15 to lead Xavier over Auburn.
Xavier (11-3) had three others in doubles: Stanley Burrell scored 13, Josh Duncan had 12, and Derrick Brown added 11.
Frank Tolbert, Rasheem Barrett and Lucas Hargrove had 11 points each for Auburn (9-3).
