Hundreds to join Frostbite Footrace
SHARON, Pa. — The Frostbite Foodtaste Footrace returns to downtown Sharon on Thursday. Roughly 600 participants will follow a route that will take them to 11 establishments, where they will taste specialty food items and beverages.
Participating in this year’s Frostbite Foodtaste Footrace are the ACT, 804, Billy’s Black & Gold, Our Gang’s Lounge, Side Pocket Cafe, The Wave, The Marigold, Chestnut St. Café, Quaker Steak & Lube, an outdoor “Tailgate Stop” catered by Penn Pilsner and Basilone’s of Farrell and Tully’s. The final destination of the event will be Tully’s where participants can warm up and watch the awards ceremony at 10 p.m.
Entry forms are available at any Frostbite location or participants can register at the preregistration party at Quaker Steak & Lube between 4 and 6 p.m. Thursday. Registration will also be open at ACT on Sharpsville Avenue between 6 and 7 p.m. the day of the event.
The Foodtaste Footrace will start at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the $12 entry fee will be donated to the Help Heat Homes program through the Prince of Peace organization in Farrell.
