X St. Mary’s Altar and Rosary Society will sponsor an evening at the races Jan. 19 at the church hall, 232 Seneca St. N.E., Warren. A buffet dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and post time is 7. There will be games, prizes, setups and drawings. Admission is $7.

SALES

X Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is in need of gently used clothing, housewares and small appliances. Donations are accepted during the store’s regular shopping hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

SPECIAL EVENTS

X Roberta’s Gallery of Fine Art, 8 S. Main St., Columbiana, will host its fifth annual Bag Lunch Lecture Series from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. Jan. 16. “The Art of Serving Tea” will be presented by Pat Keylor, owner of Chelsea Morning Tea Room.
