Stolen laptop had data of Pa. seniors

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A laptop computer stolen in a Johnstown burglary last month contained the personal information of more than 20,000 senior citizens in four Pennsylvania counties.

Officials say the computer was stolen Dec. 5 from a state Department of Aging employee who was visiting Johnstown for a relative’s funeral.

They say the state has sent notifications to the senior citizens in Clearfield, Indiana, Snyder and Union counties and provided them with free credit-monitoring services for one year.
