Boardman man dies in 2-vehicle accident in Canfield

CANFIELD — The Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle accident early today on U.S. 224 in Canfield Township that killed a 56-year-old Boardman man.

William Winning was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, where he was pronounced dead. Also taken to St. Elizabeth’s was the driver of the other vehicle,17-year-old Chase W. McKinney of Boardman. He had non life-threatening injuries. The hospital said he was treated and released.

The accident occurred at 12:35 a.m. near mile post 14. OSP is still investigating and no other details were available.
