No. 16 Texas 91, Texas-Pan American 43

AUSTIN, Texas — Ashley Lindsey scored 11 of her 13 points in the first half to help Texas run away from Texas-Pan American. Texas (12-2) extended its winning streak to 10 games for the first time since taking 17 straight in 2003-04. LeKeisha Gray scored 21 points to lead the Broncos (8-8). Kathleen Nash had 11 points and seven rebounds for Texas, which matched a season high with 51 first-half points and topped 90 for the fifth time this season. The Longhorns made their first three 3-pointers of the game and quickly jumped out to a 30-6 lead less than 10 minutes in. Texas point guard Carla Cortijo injured her left shoulder early in the first half and left the game for X-rays. Her status will not be known until Saturday.

No. 23 Colorado 65, Pepperdine 53

BOULDER, Colo. — Jackie McFarland had 19 points and eight rebounds to help the Buffaloes win their 10th straight. Bianca Smith added 18 points and Brittany Spears had 16 for Colorado (11-2) which is off to its best start since beginning the 2003-04 season 12-1. The Buffaloes begin their Big 12 season on Wednesday against Missouri. Daphanie Kennedy led Pepperdine (5-8) with 15 points. The Waves have lost six in a row, all on the road. The Waves open West Coast Conference play Jan. 10 at Gonzaga.

Ohio State player ineligible

COLUMBUS — No. 21 Ohio State will not have junior forward Star Allen for the rest of the season after she was declared academically ineligible on Friday. Allen, a starting forward for the three-time defending Big Ten champion Buckeyes, was a preseason All-Big Ten selection and a second-team all-conference choice a year ago. She started 10 of 12 games this season while averaging 8.6 points and 7.1 rebounds. Allen led the Buckeyes in field-goal percentage last year while setting a record in Big Ten games by hitting 84 of 121 shots (.694).
