Oakland plans ‘Colored Museum’ auditions
YOUNGSTOWN — The Oakland Center for the Arts, 220 W. Boardman St., downtown, will hold auditions for “The Colored Museum” at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The play, written by George C. Wolfe, touches on subjects such as self-image, racial prejudice, stereotyping and profiling. It is about how people treat each other — or should — and is not just about blacks.
Needed for the cast are men and women ages 18 and up; one teenage male; and one adult Caucasian male. Johnny R. Herbert is the director.
