Niles downs Chagrin Falls

NILES — Dan Rosenberger scored 18 points Thursday to lead the Niles High boys basketball team to a 59-47 victory over Chagrin Falls.

Larry Sussman and Ryan Berenics each scored 13 points for the Red Dragons while Vince Melillo had 11.

Farrell 90, Mercer 58

MERCER — Farrell got off to a 57-32 halftime lead and cruised past Mercer in the District 10 game.

The Steelers (8-3) were led by Traphael Stubbs, a junior guard, with 20 points.

Senior Donald Jackson and junior Marsell Holden both scored 17 points for the winners. Myles Ransom, a senior, added 15 points for the Steelers, whose only losses were to Warren Harding, Eric McDowell and Ursuline.

Dustin Snyder’s 20 points paced Mercer.
