Ex-cop accused in sex crimes

HARRISBURG (AP) — Two additional federal lawsuits have been filed against a former police officer accused of sex crimes against girls, the chief who supervised him and the borough where he worked.

The lawsuits filed Wednesday bring to four the number of federal civil actions pending against Robert J. Pavlovich Jr., who was charged in October with sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, bribery and corruption of minors.

Pavlovich, 39, who joined the Marysville Police Department in 2000, is free on $250,000 bail and awaiting a Jan. 23 preliminary hearing in the criminal case.
