A summary of criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown Township:
CANFIELD CITY
Dec. 26
Criminal trespass: A 20-year-old Springfield man was charged with criminal trespassing after he followed his old girlfriend when she drove to her new boyfriend’s house at apartments in the 300 block of Fairground Boulevard.
Drug charges: An 18-year-old Warren man was arrested on charges of drug abuse and drug paraphernalia at East Main Street and Hood Drive when police found him with a plastic bag of suspected marijuana and a pack of rolling papers.
Passing bad checks: Miners Tractor sales, 611 E. Main Street reported that a suspect wrote a bad check for $2,250 to purchase a snowplow.
Dec. 27
Theft: Computer hardware and software were stolen from a vehicle in the 10 block of Mallard Crossing, including an NDS games, three Pokémon games, an MP3 player and a GPS navigation system.
Dec. 29
Recovered money: A 13-year-old boy and his mother found two $100 bills crumpled together in the parking lot at Colonial Plaza between the plaza and Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St. The money was handed over to Canfield police to hold, and if no one comes forward to claim the money, it will be given back to the boy and his mother.

Receiving stolen property: A 30-year-old woman who is not a city resident and a 42-year-old Akron man were arrested on charges of receiving stolen property and possessing criminal tools on West Main Street. The stolen property included: Six pairs of Coozi jeans, four Coozi sweat shirts, two Coozi T-shirts, five Express dress shirts, and one pair of Timberland boots and one pair of K-Swiss shoes, valued at $159.98 and two packages of Bombay linens, valued at $329.30.

Identity theft: An unknown number of purchases were charged to a Visa card owned by a woman in the 300 block of Timber Run.

Dec. 24
Drug offense: A Warren man was charged with felony charges for possession of a crack pipe, push rod, glass vial, cocaine and methadone at state Route 46 and Lou-Ida Drive.
Theft: Toys were stolen from an auto at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A man was arrested on a theft charge and a warrant out of Trumbull County at K-Mart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A purse and its contents were stolen at a home in the 100 block of South Yorkshire Boulevard.

Disorderly conduct: A man was issued two summonses for disorderly conduct at McDonald’s, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: A woman was arrested in criminal damaging at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Burglary: A door was forced open but nothing was reported missing at a home in the 100 block of Idaho Road.
Theft: A camera was stolen at a home in the 6000 block of Ruby Court.
Burglary: A man who was absent without leave from a mental institution was jailed at county jail after being arrested at a room at Econolodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: An air-conditioning compressor was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodridge Drive.
Theft: A canvas seat cover was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Theft: $37.94 in fuel was stolen at Certified Oil, 825 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Theft: A 24-foot trailer and an El Camino were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.

Theft: An 18-pack of beer and eight compact discs were stolen from a home in the 100 block of North Main Street.
Dec. 28
Misuse of credit card: An ex-girlfriend used the victim’s credit card. The victim resides at an apartment in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.
Theft: An AM-FM stereo with a CD player was stolen from an auto in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: Cash was stolen by a woman employee at Knights Inn, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive, who was arrested on a warrant and on drug charges.
Theft: A man was arrested in a theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Misuse of credit card: A card was lost and then used by unknown persons.
Theft: A man was jailed at county jail after being arrested at K-Mart, 4475 Mahoning Ave., in a theft.
Dec. 29
Vandalism: A man damaged a breathalyzer machine at Austintown Police Department, 92 Ohltown Road, and was placed in Mahoning County Jail.
Disorderly conduct: A man was arrested in disorderly conduct at Bill’s Place, 47771 Mahoning Ave., and was placed in county jail.
Public indecency: A man was arrested in the 5300 block of Seventy-SIx Drive for public indecency and was placed in county jail.
Sex offense: A man was masturbating outside a laundry room window in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: A Warren woman was arrested on charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia and a syringe at the Salsita’s parking lot, 5495 Clarkins Drive.
Dec. 30
Criminal damaging: Tires were cut, a window smashed and sugar placed in a gasoline tank at Austinwoods Rehabilitation, 4780 Kirk Road.
Burglary: A woman had her wallet stolen at an apartment in the 100 block of Westchester Apartments.
Telephone harassment: A man was receiving unwanted telephone calls at a home in the 3000 block of Nottingham Drive.
Abandoned vehicles: Six vehicle were abandoned at Carl’s Towing, 6704 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A rear vehicle window was damaged with a BB gun at a home in the 200 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: A man stole cheese from Giant Eagle, 5200 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A stereo faceplate was stolen and two windows were broken out of an auto in the 500 block of North Four Mile Run Road.
Auto theft: A 2005 Pontiac G-6 was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Rita Avenue.
Aggravated menacing: At an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West Apartments.
Theft: A woman is a suspect in a theft at an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Auto theft: A 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was taken from a home in the 2000 block of South Raccoon Road.
