Crash kills New Castle man

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Neshannock Township Police are still investigating the cause of a crash that killed a New Castle man. Police said Matthew L. Leonard, 22, of McCaslin Road was trapped in his vehicle on East Maitland Lane when they arrived at 8:04 a.m. Tuesday. Police said Leonard’s car was about 30 feet off the road resting against several trees. Once Leonard was freed from the car, he was taken by ambulance to Jameson Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said that at the time of the crash, the roads were dry and clear.
